Land Of Blood And Sunshine "Servants Of Light" artwork

Cover
Back
The artwork, in it's entirety, for the new Land Of Blood And Sunshine full-length 12" LP is in, and I must say, fucking amazing! Hand drawn by Nick from Land Of Blood And Sunshine it is the perfect accompaniment to their latest full-length, "Servants Of Light". We'll be presenting the aforementioned artwork on a full color gate fold jacket printed up by the fine folks at Imprint. We'll start taking pre-orders for both the split color coke bottle clear/blue (limited to 100), and the classic black (limited to 200) vinyl sometime after the 15th of January. In the meantime, we're now streaming track seven, "Gravity Storm" from the upcoming album and should see a video for track three, "Fermentor" in the very near future. This record is set to be ridiculous, it is without a doubt, Land Of Blood And Sunshine at their absolute best, concise, cohesive, and refined. They tread such an amazingly fine line, tottering along the garage, psych realm and then quickly dashing into a frantic punk pace before knocking you flat with an undeniably catchy pop hook. And I might be wrong, but I swear I feel an Eastern influence on this, further expanding the possibilities and sound of this Marshalltown, Iowa outfit.

Additionally, Nick from LOBAS also recently released his first solo album under the name Mothership K'Shasha. It's eight brilliantly well-crafted, multi-instrument, folk/pop tracks that I just can't stop listening to. Titled "Everything Went White", and limited to only 50 cassette copies you'd be wise to pick one up from the Mothership bandcamp.

Belt Of Vapor "The Recluse" test pressings

The test pressings for Belt Of Vapor's latest and greatest full-length, "The Recluse" have arrived, and we're happy to announce that they sound perfect. And look at that coke bottle clear vinyl! Fuck yeah. We'll start taking pre-orders on December 16th with the hopes that we'll see the finished product around the middle of January. In the meantime, check out track six, "Estranged Youth" here. Expect a Belt Of Vapor video in the near future as well.

Belt Of Vapor "The Recluse" artwork

The artwork for our next release, a 12" LP, by Spokane, Washington natives Belt Of Vapor is in the finishing stages. Laid out and designed by Matt Bogue of Baroque Design, the jackets will be printed by the fine folks at Imprint. Titled "The Recluse", this is Belt Of Vapor's third full-length, and by far the most cohesive, organized, and downright righteous of the bunch. It's no wonder that they spent the entire year of 2011 recording, and mixing it themselves at the Black Whole in Spokane. It's calculated, and huge; Big hooks and blue-collar anthems barreling along with a thundering rhythm section. And I didn't even mention that first and foremost,  it's a motherfucking rock album. Mastered by Chris Hanzsek at Hanzsek Audio, in Seattle, Washington. We'll be posting a track (maybe two?) in the near future here, when we finalize a few more details with the band, like vinyl color and such. We're hoping for a January/February 2013 release, but that's all very tentative. In the meantime, get familiar with the last Belt Of Vapor release, "Buck", a raging two-song 7", with a few copies still available on green vinyl. Uh huh.

2 Bit Punk Rock Swap Meet (August 19th)

We'll be taking part in the Punk Rock Swap Meet at the 2 Bit Saloon in Ballard on Sunday, August 19th from 3-7. Our entire catalog will be available as well as all of our distribution items for dirt cheap. All seven inches are $2 a piece ($2.50 on color), ten inches are $6 ($6.50 for color), twelve inches are $7 ($7.50 on color), and all CD's will be available for $2.
Additionally, we're running a Summer 7" Wax Special featuring all five (or two, or four) of the seven inches we've dropped for super cheap with free-first class shipping. Good until the end of September. Also expect a free label sampler sometime this coming September. It'll be hosted on the Whoa! Boat bandcamp and include tracks from most (all?) of the previous releases and hopefully a taste of a couple of upcoming records. We've got a few blank black shell tapes lying around so I've been seriously considering putting the aforementioned sampler out on limited run (10?) double cassettes as well. It's probably more trouble than it's worth, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
